My So-Called Teenage Life Blog Hop – FAIL

This is the post where Melissa admits that she forgot about the My So-Called Teenage Life Blog Hop, hosted by the fabulous Amy, Christa, and Andrea, and proceeds to speak in third person because of her shame and admits she can not post today because she is at the office and no where near her whining teenage diaries or awful poems and instead re-posts something she wrote when she was eleven years old because she doesn’t know what else to do:

Ten is Enough

In the parting words of every terrible corporate email ever to cross a person’s inbox in an attempt to make something bad okay…

…thank you for understanding.

  1. Melissa, that story you wrote at age 11 is hilarious! And shows the beginnings of a writing soul. How cool that you kept it. Man, how I wish I'd kept all that stuff.

And no worries. I wouldn't even call that a blog hop fail. You led me to something I hadn't heard about before and to some new blogs, so thanks!

  2. that was a fun read. I wish I had written something at that age. isn't always true that people write about having siblings when they're an only child and people write about being an only child when they have too many siblings? at least you named them all. thanks for sharing.

    have a sweet day.

  3. Ba ha ha ha!! This is more than perfect, Melissa. Next blog hop will definitely be FIRST ATTEMPTS AT FICTION. I have some awesome ones stashed away. I love this and it is perfect. You were a pre-teen. Good enough! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Wow, there's nothing like looking back on something you wrote at that age and shaking your head at how you thought it was so awesome. I'm so glad I never had myself published when I was a preteen, since a lot of my writing was similar in style to yours.

To this day, I still often have large families in my writing, though I no longer want a big family of my own.
